the iPad of cars

My conversation with the local polo dealer:

Me: Hello
Kashyap Volkswagen: Yes? (woman, sounding like she's bit high at 3 in the afternoon)
Me: I would like to talk to your sales department please.
KV: Who's calling?
Me: This is XXXX. I work with large technology company, I'm looking for a car for myself.
KV: They're busy with a customer, can you call back?
Me: Can you take my number?
KV: Sir, please call back.
Me: (!@#!) ok

5 minutes later.
...
(finally through to the sales department)
Me: Can I get a test drive?
KV: A test drive is possible, but we aren't taking it out on the road right now.
Me: What do you mean? (under my breath: gaadi hai ya ladki dikha rahe ho?)
KV: Sir, we have only one car right now and you can come into our showroom to view it.
Me: OK, so can I take it out on the road?
KV: Sir we have a driveway around the showroom, it's quite large.

Apparently they've sold 1200 here already and there's a wait for 4 months.
